The race, which included some of the top teams in District 9 including Elk County Catholic, Smethport, Kane and Bradford along with 13 other teams, saw Katie Craig, Nathaniel Lerch, Nick Schill and Daniel Ketner all medal for the Bobcats.

The Bobcats boys’ team finished fourth of 18 teams with the top seven runners all going under 20 minutes.

“This shows that we have the opportunity to be in the running to take both the boys team to states as well as qualifying Katie Craig for her third straight trip to Hershey,” Clarion head coach Keth Murtha said.

While the varsity team was in Bradford, the junior high team traveled to Commodore Perry to run against some of the region’s best.

A pair of Bobcats medalled with Bella Scott and Gavin Hoover doing so, and the girls’ finished ninth of 17 teams.
