Leeper Woman Named Person of Interest in Return Scam

CRANBERRY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State Police are asking for the public’s help in locating a Leeper woman who they believe may be involved in a fraudulent return scam in Venango County.

Franklin-based State Police Tpr. Cirell said two unknown suspects, pictured above and below, entered Walmart along Kimberly Lane in Cranberry Township on Tuesday around 3:39 p.m. and removed $313.53 worth of merchandise.

The suspects attempted to walk out of the store without paying for the items when they were stopped by a loss prevention employee.

Police said the pair then fled the scene in a silver sedan.

Jolene N. Solomon, 34, of Leeper, has been named as a person of interest in the investigation.

“We believe Solomon is involved with the suspects in a fraudulent return scam,” said Tpr. Cirell.

Anyone with information on the whereabouts of Solomon or the suspects is asked to contact PSP Franklin at 814-676·6596.

No further details were released.
