Clarion County YMCA Kicks Off Zero Gain Campaign for Holiday Season

CLARION, Pa. — YMCA fitness coaches and personal trainers know what it takes to maintain your body weight over the holidays, and they are offering some motivation to community members this year.

Starting November 13, the Y is challenging members and community participants to maintain their weight through the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays, the two most challenging seasons for anyone trying to stick to a fitness and healthy eating routine.

The challenge is not asking you to lose weight, rather to maintain your weight. Wellness coaches and personal trainers have some tips, tools, and workout ideas that will help you stay on track.

Registration for the program includes a customized workout plan and one group training session at the YMCA. The cost is just $15.00/Members or $30.00/Non-Members.

Initial weigh-ins begin at the Clarion County YMCA on November 13 or 14 between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

All participants will receive a complimentary Zero Gain bracelet to wear throughout the holiday season as a reminder to make healthy choices.

A second weigh-in will be held November 29 or 30 between 5:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m.

This after Thanksgiving weigh-in will track whether participants maintained their weight or gained. If participants make it through Thanksgiving with Zero Gain, they will receive a YMCA Blender Bottle!

The final weigh-in will be December 28 – January 2 from 5:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. Each participant that makes it through the holidays with Zero Gain will be entered to win one of three awesome YMCA prize packs!

Registration is available online at www.clarioncountyymca.org or at the YMCA. For more information, please call the Clarion County YMCA at 814-764-3400.
