Clarion County Career Center Creates Holiday Setting

SHIPPENVILLE, Pa. — As the holidays approach, Clarion County Career Center students worked together to create a holiday setting in the school lobby.

Culinary Arts students teamed up with Construction students to create a large gingerbread house. In previous years, Culinary has seen each student make their own small gingerbread creations. Mr. Randy Shook, Culinary Arts Instructor, said this project generated more teamwork among both his Culinary students and the Construction students.

Computer Networking students set up a Chromebook to play holiday music throughout the day. This really adds to helping everyone get in the holiday spirit.

Mr. Kirk Atwood, Director, asked for all of the programs to help decorate a Christmas tree set up by the gingerbread house. The students really stepped up to the challenge and created a very unique, one-of-a-kind tree, which is topped by a mannequin head from Cosmetology.

Some of the other decorations include plastic-wire handcuffs, wire garland, ice cream cone garland, gloves, metal creations from Welding, lug nut covers with holiday ribbon, wrenches and a network card and computer mouse.

The teamwork displayed completing the holiday setting has been a positive influence on the students at the Career Center.
