State Police Calls: DUI’s, Reckless Driver Cited, Richland Township Collision

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) – Clarion-based State Police responded to the following calls:

New Bethlehem Woman Suspected of DUI

According to police, a 29-year-old New Bethlehem woman was stopped for a traffic violation at 2:21 a.m. on Sunday, December 10, on Route 322 in Paint Township.

After speaking with the woman, Trooper Jacob Knight discovered she was under the influence of alcohol. The woman refused a blood test.

Police said DUI charges will be filed in district court.

Licking Township Crash

Police say at 1:41 a.m. on Sunday, December 10, 27-year-old Jarrett Sloppy, of Clearfield, was driving a 2014 Dodge 1500 on Route 368 when he left the road and hit a culvert. The impact caused disabling damage to the front, driver’s side of the vehicle.

It is not known if Sloppy was wearing a seat belt. He wasn’t injured.

Sloppy was cited by police for careless driving.

Indiana Man Strikes Deer on I-80

Police said 45-year-old Enno Rose, of Rensselaer, Indiana, was driving a 2016 Chevy Silverado west in the left lane of Interstate 80 near mile marker 47 in Richland Township when he struck a deer.

The vehicle came to a stop in the median. Rose was wearing a seat belt and wasn’t injured.

The truck was towed from the scene.

Rimersburg Woman Charged With DUI

Police say 55-year-old Theresa Molnar, of Rimersburg, drove off Curllsville Road in Piney Township at 2:12 p.m. on Saturday, November 18, and became in stuck in a ditch.

After further investigation, Molnar was arrested on suspicion of DUI and taken to Clarion Hospital for a blood test.

Court documents indicate Molnar was charged on Monday with two misdemeanor DUI offenses and three summary traffic offenses.
