Snow-Covered Roadway Causes Crash in West Hickory

HARMONY TWP., Pa. (EYT) — State police say a one-vehicle crash occurred on Sunday afternoon on Dawson Road in West Hickory, Harmony Township, Forest County.

According to Marienville-based State Police, the accident happened around 2:32 p.m. on Sunday, December 10.

Police say a 1999 Chevrolet Suburban driven by 40-year-old William H. Conner, of Slippery Rock, was negotiating a left-hand turn in the roadway. Conner lost control of the vehicle on the snow- and ice-covered roadway and struck a culvert on the left side of the road.

Conner suffered suspected minor injuries.

A passenger in his vehicle — 41-year-old Diane A. Duncan, of West Hickory — was not injured.

Both occupants were using seat belts.

The vehicle was towed by Frank’s Auto & Sons.
