‘Bring the Dream to Life’ is theme of MLK Community Breakfast

CLARION, Pa. — The community is invited to Clarion University’s annual Martin Luther King Jr. Community Breakfast at 8 a.m. Jan. 15 at Eagle Commons on Clarion’s campus. This year’s theme is “The King Legacy: Bring the Dream to Life.”

Dr. Quintin Bullock, president of Community College of Allegheny County, will be guest speaker.

“This breakfast is important, first of all, because of the legacy Dr. King left and what he meant to the American people, in general, and the African American people, in particular,” said Dr. Brenda Dede, associate vice president for academic affairs and founder and chair of the MLK Breakfast. “Also, with the recent political and social climate in the United States, it’s important that we continue to expose his legacy and quest for all people to get along, particularly the American people.”

Tickets cost $7 and can be purchased at the door. RSVP to [email protected]. Plenty of parking will be available in the lots near Eagle Commons.

The breakfast is sponsored by Clarion University, Clarion community organizations, charities and churches.
