ECC’s Straub Wins 800th Game as Boys’ Coach for Crusaders

ST. MARYS, Pa. (D9Sports) — Ryan Newton scored 24 points to help Elk County Catholic give head coach Aaron Straub his 800th win as the boys’ coach at ECC with a 70-35 thumping of visiting Sheffield in AML action.

Straub is now 800-230 in his 36th season as the boys’ coach at ECC and has a career mark of 827-251 in 38 seasons including two years as the girls’ coach for the school.

Brady Schneider and Alec Wehler each added eight points in the historic win.

Cale Albaugh had 13 points and eight rebounds for Sheffield with Matt Dunham and Tyler Hepinger each scoring nine for the Wolverines.
