Tuesday’s Girls’ Basketball: Bair Leads Moniteau Past Shorthanded Cranberry

WEST SUNBURY, Pa. (D9Sports) — Behind Emma Bair’s career night of 27 points, 15 rebounds and seven blocked shots, Moniteau beat shorthanded and visiting Cranberry, 58-42.

Bair’s 27 points were a career high, and she was joined in the win by Kristen Auvil, who scored 12 points, Izzy Bair, who had three points, five assists and four steals and Andie Arblaster, who contributed seven points and five assists.

Cranberry, playing without second-leading scorer Erin Merryman (13.1 ppg), got 21 points and 14 rebounds from Malliah Schreck.

KNOCH 44, KARNS CITY 39

KARNS CITY, Pa. — In a brotherly feud between Knoch head coach Chris Andreassi and Karns City head coach Steve Andreassi, older brother Chris and his Lady Knights went on the road and grabbed a 44-39 win from younger brother’s Lady Gremlins.

Emily Fraser led Knoch with 15 points with Hannah Rowe and Gabby Fennell each adding 11 points.

Emily Hegedus had a game-high 18 points for Karns City with Livia Andreassi, Steve’s daughter and Chris’ niece, scoring 10 points.
