VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) — Franklin-based State Police are investigating the following two deaths that occurred in Venango County:

Death Investigation in Scrubgrass Township

This incident occurred sometime between 5:00 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. on February 17. A 50-year-old female was found deceased inside her residence at 231 Oliphant Road, in Scrubgrass Township.

The investigation revealed the potential for an overdose of prescription medications.

No signs of foul play existed.

The investigation continues.

Death Investigation in Sugarcreek Borough

This incident occurred sometime between 4:30 a.m and 8:00 a.m. on February 18. A 40-year-old victim was found deceased in the bedroom of her residence located at 306 Sugarcreek Drive, in Sugarcreek Borough, Venango County.

Multiple PSP members responded to the scene to initiate the investigation.

Due to the sensitiveness of this case, no further details will be released to the public.

An active investigation is still on-going.
