State Police Calls: Aggravated Indecent Assault in Shippenville, Over $2700 in Merchandise Stolen from Walmart

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) – Clarion-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Attempted Suicide in Paint Twp.

On March 14, troopers responded to a report of a known female actively cutting her wrists in the parking lot of a Paint Township business. Police say the woman was visibly intoxicated and upset. She was taken to Clarion Hospital where 302 paperwork was filled out. She was treated at the Clarion County Psych Center.

Investigation Continues on Aggravated Indecent Assault in Shippenville

Clarion County CYS informed Clarion-based State Police of a possible abuse case involving known a teenager and a young child. A Forensic Interview was conducted with the young victim at the Jefferson County PA Cares for Kids, where the alleged abuse was described in detail. The investigation is continuing.

Retail Theft

On March 9, between 6:30 and 7:00 p.m. a suspect stole approximately $2,761.00 worth of merchandise from the Walmart in Clarion. Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to contact Clarion-based State Police at 814-226-1710.
