State Police Investigating Accidental Shooting During Domestic Incident

WARREN CO., Pa. (EYT) – State police say an accidental shooting occurred on Tuesday afternoon in Youngsville, Warren County.

According to Warren-based State Police, around 5:27 p.m. on March 20, Victor Michael Battko, 28, retrieved a small caliber firearm while involved in a verbal, nonphysical argument at his residence on Homestead Drive in Youngsville.

Battko is alleged to have kept the weapon behind his back while pacing. The firearm is believed to have accidentally discharged, striking him in the leg. He was transported from the residence via ambulance to Erie for treatment, police say.

Two known juveniles were in the residence.

This incident is still under investigation with additional interviews pending.

Further action, including court action, is also pending.
