Friday’s High School Softball Roundup: Forest Area Tops Union

RIMERSBURG, Pa. (D9Sports) — Jasmine Ginnery drove in three runs to help visiting Forest Area to a 10-3 win over Union at Rimersburg Elementary School.

Jasmine Ginnery also got the win allowing three unearned runs. She walked one and struck out 13.

Destiny Ginnery added a 2-for-4 day with a double and an RBI, Makiya Bellotti was 2-for-3 with a triple and two RBIs and Cassie Cochran was 2-for-3 with an RBI for the Lady Fires.

Morgan Cumberland had a double for Union.

REDBANK VALLEY 25, BROCKWAY 0, 4 INNINGS

BROCKWAY, Pa. — Using a nine-run first and a 12-run fourth visiting Redbank Valley rolled to a 25-0, four-inning win at Brockway.

Dakota Hetrick went 4-for-5 with a triple, four runs scored and two RBIs to lead the Lady Bulldogs offense with Torilynn Nelson, Kristen Shaffer and Torrie Sayers each adding doubles.

Shaffer was 3-for-4 with a run scored and two RBIs, Nelson was 1-for-2 with two walks and three runs scored and Sayers 1-for-1 with a run scored and two RBIs.

Also for Redbank Valley Brooke Holben went 1-for-3 with a walk, three runs scored and two RBIs. Sami Leasure was 2-for-4 with a walk, an RBI and three runs scored with Brynn Rearick going 3-for-4 with two runs scored and three RBIs, Elaina Miller 2-for-4 with an RBI and two runs scored, Lauren Smith was 2-for-3 with an RBI and two runs scored and Kaia Rearick 2-for-3 with a walk, an RBI and three runs scored.

Hetrick got the win allowing two hits and no walks while striking out two.

MONITEAU 8, KEYSTONE 3

WEST SUNBURY, Pa. — Dolcey Shunk, Abby Roteman and Amanda Dailey each had two hits and an RBI to help Moniteau defeat visiting Keystone, 8-3.

Dailey also scored twice with Shunk and Roteman scoring a run apiece.

Courtney Stewart had a hit, a run scored and two RBIs for the Lady Warriors as did Breanne Noah.

Stewart got the win going seven innings allowing three earned runs on four hits and six walks while striking out six.

Carla Schoeppner had a pair of hits for Keystone.
