Geibel Lifts Moniteau Past Redbank Valley

BUTLER, Pa. (D9Sports) — Wyatt Geibel drove in three runs to help Moniteau down visiting Redbank Valley, 8-3, at Kelly Automotive Park in Butler.

Geibel was 1-for-3 with a double in the game for the Warriors, while Nick Sosigian and Chance Nagy each chipped in a pair of RBIs in the win.

Nick Sosigian was 1-for-2 with a double, two walks and a run scored with Nagy going 1-for-3 with a run scored. Brice Williams was also 2-for-3 with a double and two runs scored for the Warriors, Hunter Fitzingo was 2-for-4 with a run scored and Jake Jewart was 2-for-4.

Nagy got the win in relief of Jewart. He pitched three innings allowing a hit and three walks while striking out six. Jewart went three innings allowing three runs on two hits and four walks while striking out four. Gage Neal finished off with a scoreless inning of relief walking one and striking out two.

Cameron Travis was 2-for-2 with a double and an RBI for Redbank Valley. Blaney Brooks added a hit, two walks and an RBI.

Bryan Layton took the loss allowing five runs, four earned, on six hits, a hit batter and three walks while striking out eight in five innings of work.
