According to police, 79-year-old Daryl Weaver, of Knox, and 68-year-old Wayne G. White, of Dalton, Pa., were involved in the collision.

Police say around 9:21 a.m. on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 Western Star tractor-trailer, operated by White, was traveling south on Paint Blvd. (Route 66) and stopped for traffic due to a vehicle in front of him turning left.

A 2012 Ford Escape was also traveling south on Route 66 and failed to come to a stop and struck the Western Star’s trailer from behind with the front of his vehicle.

Shippenville-Elk Volunteer Ambulance Service transported Weaver to Clarion Hospital for suspected minor injuries.

White was not injured.

Both drivers were using seat belts.

Shippenville-Elk Volunteer Fire Department and Ambulance Service assisted PSP Clarion at the scene.
