Leeper Man Injured in Route 66 Crash

CLARION TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police say a two-vehicle accident occurred on Friday evening on State Route 66, in Clarion Township.

According to police, 31-year-old Daniel L. Bailey, of Leeper, and 28-year-old Shaun G. Eggleton, of Strattanville, were involved in the collision.

Police say around 5:58 p.m. on Friday, June 15, Bailey was traveling south on Route 66 in a 1996 Chevrolet S10 pickup. His vehicle traveled across the double yellow line into the northbound lane and struck Eggleton’s 2014 Ford F150 pickup that was traveling north in the northbound lane.

Clarion EMS transported Bailey to the Clarion Hospital for injuries of unknown severity.

Eggleton was not injured.

Both drivers were using seat belts.

Bailey was charged with a traffic violation.
