UPDATE: More Details Released After Missing Brookville Girl Found Safe

BROOKVILLE, Pa. (EYT) — A nine-year-old Brookville girl who went missing on Monday evening has been found safe.

Raine Elizabeth Brodmerkel was found safe late Monday evening on Tunnel Hill Road in Brookville, according to a family member.

Over 50 people assisted in the search for Raine.

“AJ Moore and K-9 Benji were the first of our K-9 teams on the scene and started searching immediately. It wasn’t long before Benji led AJ and a crew of searchers right to her. It was dark. A large storm was approaching quickly, and she was pretty scared but was safe and unharmed,” according to Pine Creek K9 Search.

Pine Creek K9 Search extends a “thank you” to their own fire company, Pine Creek Volunteer Fire Department, along with Brookville Fire Company, Corsica Volunteer Fire Company, Summerville Volunteer Fireman’s Association, and anyone else who came out to assist in the search efforts.

Punxsutawney-based State Police Trooper Green said Raine had last been seen in the area of 17479 Route 36 in Rose Township, Jefferson County, on Monday around 6:10 p.m. where she was walking two small tan-colored dogs.

The dogs were found unharmed nearby.

Raine was returned safely to her grandmother’s house in Rose Township.
