Teen Driver Escapes Injury in Porter Twp. Crash

PORTER TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say a teen driver overcorrected and struck a guide rail Sunday afternoon in Porter Township, Clarion County.

According to police, around 2:16 p.m. on Sunday, September 16, a 16-year-old Rimersburg girl was operating a 2006 Buick Lucerne, traveling west on State Route 861 just east of Climax Road.

Police say the teen driver was negotiating a left turn when her vehicle traveled off the right side of the roadway. She then overcorrected which caused the vehicle to cross over both lanes and impact a guide rail on the eastbound side of the roadway.

The driver was wearing a seatbelt and was not injured.

She was cited for speeding.
