Christine Haag BWChristine R. Haag, 91, of Oil City, died Thursday, September 27, 2018, at the Oil City Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center.

Born December 16, 1926, in Farrell, she was a daughter of the late James and Filomena Muraco Paceleo.

Chrissy enjoyed cooking and baking and always had homemade food available at any time. She loved spending time with friends and family.

On July 1, 1946, she was married to the Rev. Timothy Haag, who preceded her in death on November 23, 1993. Back in 1958, the couple together started Calvary Temple Church on Seneca Street in downtown Oil City, the church is now located on Harriott Avenue. They worked together in the church for many years. Mrs. Haag played the guitar, sang in the church, and played the bass fiddle.

Surviving are two sons, Jonathan E. Haag and his wife Kathleen, of Sandy Lake, and Timothy J. Haag and his wife Patricia, of Cary, NC; four grandsons; one granddaughter; six great grandsons; two great granddaughters; and one great great grandson.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a grandson, Nicholas P. Haag, and her six brothers and two sisters.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, at Morrison Funeral Home, from 6 pm to 8 pm.

Funeral services will be held the next day, Sunday, September 30, 2018, at 2 pm at the funeral home with the Rev. Rudy Rimer, pastor of Calvary Temple Church, officiating.

Interment will be in Sunset Hill Memorial Garden.
