Police Detail Crash That Left Teen, Infant Injured

CLARION TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police have released the details of a crash that resulted in a man and an infant being rushed to the hospital.

According to police, around 10:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 3, Colton R. Bowser, 19, of Strattanville was operating a 2005 Nissan Maxima, traveling east on U.S. 322 one mile west of Strattanville Borough.

Police say Bowser crossed the double yellow line while negotiating a curve and returned to the right lane before losing control of his vehicle. The vehicle spun 90-degrees, traveling off the roadway facing south, and struck a mailbox with its driver’s side.

The vehicle then rotated further, facing west, and struck a shed at the 322 Variety Store before coming to rest facing northeast.

Bowser was extricated through the driver’s side door by Strattanville Volunteer Fire Company.

Bowser and his passenger, Caitlyn M. Cubbage, 20, of West Sunbury, were both wearing seatbelts, and an infant passenger was restrained in a front-facing child safety seat.

Clarion Hospital EMS transported Bowser and the infant passenger to Clarion Hospital for treatment of possible injuries.

There is no word on their current conditions.

Cubbage was not injured.

Bowser was cited for driving while operating privilege is suspended or revoked.
