CLARION, Pa. – The Clarion County YMCA is hiring for multiple positions as they anticipate the opening of the new location in the coming weeks. The new Y is located at 499 Mayfield Road across from the Clarion Mall and Clarion Hospital and behind Pizza Hut.
The CHILD CARE STAFF
The Clarion County YMCA is seeking staff to fill multiple positions in the new Child Care Center at 499 Mayfield Road which is slated to open soon.
The YMCA will hire head teachers, assistant teachers, and auxiliary staff to fill positions in the infant room, toddler rooms, preschool, and before and after-school programs.
Head Teachers
- Minimum of an Associate Degree in Education
- Two (2) Years Experience Early Childhood Field
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, State Police Criminal Record Clearance, Federal Background Check
- Pediatric CPR and First Aid Training
Assistant Teachers
- CDA or higher level of education
- One (1) Year Experience in Early Childhood Field
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, State Police Criminal Record Clearance, Federal Background Check
- Pediatric CPR and First Aid Training
Cook/Care taker/Substitute Teachers
- High School Diploma
- Pennsylvania Child Abuse History Clearance, State Police Criminal Record Clearance, Federal Background Check
- Pediatric CPR and First Aid Training

LIFEGUARDS
The YMCA is hiring Lifeguards for all shifts at the New Clarion County YMCA.
–No lifeguarding experience necessary
–Full training available ($175/members; $200/Non-members)
–Must be at least 16 years old to start work
–Flexible hours
–Great experience for a future career
–Excellent foundation for future training in many fields

PART-TIME POSITIONS

Swim Lesson Instructors – Must have the ability to teach lessons on weekends and evenings.
Membership Representatives – Must have the ability to work evening and weekend shifts at the Membership desk.
Building Supervisor – Evening and weekend building supervisor to monitor day-to-day operations
Housekeeping Staff – Evening shifts
Spin Instructor – Flexible Schedule
Group Exercise Instructors – Flexible Schedule; Variety of classes based on your ability.
Water Zumba Instructor – Flexible Schedule
