Two Entrapped After Vehicle Rolls Down Embankment in Monroe Township

MONROE TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Emergency personnel responded to a one-vehicle crash on State Route 68 in Monroe Township this morning.

According to a representative of Clarion County 9-1-1, the call came in at 10:52 a.m. for a one-vehicle accident near 18782 State Route 68 in Monroe Township.

A vehicle appeared to have struck a utility pole and turned on its side in a field off the side of the northbound lane.

Clarion Fire & Hose Company 1, Sligo Fire Rescue, Clarion Hospital Ambulance, and Clarion-based State Police were dispatched to the scene.

Initial reports indicate two people were entrapped in the vehicle at the time of dispatch.

It is unknown at this time if anyone was injured in the crash.

Police are expected to release additional information within the next 48 hours.
