CaptureMr. Kenneth G. Burt, 99, formerly of Rt. 408 Titusville, passed away early Saturday morning November 17, 2018, at Wesbury United Methodist Community in Meadville.

Mr. Burt was born on October 26, 1919, in Plumer to the late Russell and Dora Sharp Burt.

He was a graduate of Oil City High School, class of 1938, Coyne Electrical School in Chicago, IL, and attended University of Pittsburgh, Titusville Campus.

Mr. Burt was a veteran of the US Army Air Force, having served during World War II from 1942 to 1945, when he was honorably discharged.

He served at Keesler Air Force Base as crew chief and engineer instructor.

Kenneth was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Titusville, the Titusville Lodge #754 F&A.M., Valley of Oil City Blue Lodge, and New Castle Consistory with his 32nd degree as a Mason, of which he was very proud.

He enjoyed doing photography, but building miniature models of oil field equipment and working gas engines was his lifelong passion.

He created a machine shop in his garage where he spent most of his days “playing”.

He was always the “go to” person when a friend needed something fixed for a lawn mower or an automobile or anything else. He delighted in inviting anyone who would enter his garage for a “live demonstration” of his working gas engines.

Kenneth was married 41years to Marva Seyler who he married on January 18, 1947 and passed away on February 24, 1988.

He is survived by his wife Harriet Seyler Booth Burt who he married on September 30, 1989 in Cleveland, OH; daughters, Susan (Geoff) McCreary of North East, PA, Cheri Cunningham of Akron, OH, Mary Jane (Joseph) Johnson of Oil City; step-children, Karen (Charles) McCain of Phoenix, AZ, Jeffrey Booth of Cleveland, OH; grandchildren; Kevin (Jennifer) Norr, Laura (David) McWright, Greg (Darrin Grelle) Cunningham, Molly Cunningham and Nicole (Jaerdin) Spader; step-granddaughter, Mandi Booth of Cleveland, OH; 5 great grandchildren; brother, Richard Burt of Oil City; sister, Janet (Joseph) Orosz of Geneva, OH; sister-in-law, Cora Burt of Oil City; niece Lori Lyn Sasu; nephews, Robert Burt, Gary Burt, and Darrin Burt.
