Man Seriously Injured in Alcohol-Related Crash on Route 36

JEFFERSON CO., Pa. (EYT) — A 34-year-old man was rushed to the hospital early Sunday morning following a crash on Route 36 in Oliver Township.

According to Punxsutawney-based State Police, around 3:13 a.m. on Sunday, November 18, 34-year-old Michael G. Skovron, of Erie, was traveling north in a 2008 Saturn Outlook on State Route 36, in Oliver Township, Jefferson County.

Skovron made an abrupt turn leaving the roadway, overturning two times. The vehicle came to a final rest on its passenger side facing south.

Jefferson County EMS transported Skovron to Punxsutawney ER for suspected serious injuries.

He was not using a seat belt.

According to police, he is suspected of driving while under the influence of alcohol.

He is charged with a traffic violation.

The investigation is ongoing.
