Kenneth-Ken-Oz-Osborne-1543512288Kenneth “Ken” E. “Oz” Osborne, 64 of Sandy Lake, passed away on November 28, 2018 at his residence.

Ken was born in Grove City on October 20, 1954, to the late Harold E. and Blanche Woods Osborne. He was a 1972 graduate of Lakeview High School and earned his Associates Degree in Electrical Engineering from Penn State Shenango. He worked for 41 years at Joy Manufacturing in Franklin in the maintenance department and later on as an electric component assembler.

Ken married his beloved wife, Helene Whitfield Osborne, on April 23, 1977, she survives at home.

Ken was born to be wild and loved riding his Harley Davidson, especially his ’76 shovelhead. He owned and operated his own bike shop for 20+ years, Osborne’s Custom H.D. He was an outdoorsman who loved to hunt and take his grandchildren out hunting. He also enjoyed watching his children and grandchildren play sports. He was a proud member of the NRA, a proud farmer who was certified in Beef Quality Assurance. He was a member of the Parker-Allegheny-Canby Lodge #521 F&AM, a member of the Petrolia-Oil City Valley Lodge #363, and a member of the New Castle Consistory Scottish Rite Cathedral.

In addition to his wife, Ken is survived by his children, Dan Osborne of Stoneboro, Tracy VanTassel and husband Michael of Sandy Lake, and Calvert Osborne of Sandy Lake, grandchildren Damian and Kody VanTassel and Aiden, Ansley, and Easton Osborne, siblings Emily Boylan, Peggy Boyd and husband Bill, Edna Huff and husband Marvin, Cleo Beckman and husband Lawrence, and Woody Montgomery and wife Nancy, mother-in-law Helene Whitfield of Mercer, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, Ken was preceded in death by his sister Carol Macri, and father-in-law Clarence Whitfield.

Funeral Arrangements have been entrusted to Black Funeral Home of SANDY LAKE, 3236 S. Main St, where family and friends are welcome from 4-7 pm on Monday, December 3. A Masonic Funeral Service will follow visitation at 7 pm at the funeral home and a funeral service will follow with the Reverend Virginia Lavan-Gadsby, pastor of New Lebanon Community Church, officiating.
