CORSICA, Pa. (EYT) – Two residents were injured in a double-wide mobile home fire that occurred early this morning in Corsica.

Around 3:30 a.m., Jefferson County 9-1-1 dispatched the following volunteer fire departments to a fully engulfed fire at 3292 Route 949, Corsica, Union Township: Corsica, Brookville, Pine Creek, Sigel, Strattanville, and Summerville.
Jefferson County EMS was also sent to the scene.
Corsica Fire Chief Don Smith told exploreClarion.com,, the structure was a mobile home, and there were five residents in the residence — four adults and one child.
“Two adults were injured. A male was taken to the hospital and then released. A female was transported to West Penn.
“A dog was also rescued from the home.
“Red Cross is assisting.”
The scene was cleared around 6:30 a.m.
The home was insured, according to Chief Smith.
Chief Smith stated that the fire marshal was notified since the fire was catastrophic.
At this point, the cause is undetermined.
