Two Dogs Die in Monroe Township Mobile Home Fire; Cause of Blaze Undetermined

MONROE TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Two dogs died in a mobile home fire that occurred last Wednesday in Monroe Township.

According to Clarion-based State Police, Chief Doug Preston, of the Clarion Fire & Hose Co. No. 1, requested assistance from a PA State Police Fire Marshal in determining the origin and cause of a fire that destroyed a mobile home.

The incident happened around 2:06 a.m. on Wednesday, April 24, at 160 CAA Lane, in Monroe Township, Clarion County.

No one was home at the time of the fire, and it was discovered by a neighbor.

According to PA State Police Fire Marshal Kathleen Watters, the fire originated near the front wall of the living room of the 14×70’ mobile home. An exact cause was not determined.

The home was a complete loss, with an estimated value of the mobile home and its contents at $35,000.00.

No one was injured; however, two dogs died as a result of the fire, according to police.
