BOYLEScaroleCarole E. Boyles, 82, a resident of 53 ½ Madison Street, Franklin, died at 7:17 AM Saturday, May 11, 2019, shortly after her arrival in the emergency department of UPMC-Northwest in Seneca.

She was born October 24, 1936 in Van, a beloved daughter of the late: George and Anna Kurtzhals Rumberger.

Carole had worked at the former General Manifold in Franklin, and had worked for many years as a sales clerk at the former G.C. Murphy Company along Liberty Street.

She was an active and faithful member of St. Patrick Church in Franklin where she sang for many years in both the church choir and funeral choir. She was also a longtime active member of the Catholic Daughters of the Americas (CD of A).

Carole was also an active member of The Women of the Moose of Franklin Moose Lodge #83.

She liked to travel and always looked forward to her Caribbean cruises. She enjoyed camping and spending quality time with her family, most especially, her grandchildren.

Carole was married September 22, 1956 in St. Patrick Church to Robert E. Boyles; who preceded her in death on October 16, 1994.

She is survived by her children: Pamela Horn and husband, Kenneth; Kathryn Whitehead and husband, William “Udder”, Robert Boyles and wife, Kathy; William Boyles and wife, Melinda, all of Franklin and Richard Boyles and wife, Kimberlin of Girard, PA.

Also surviving are her grandchildren: Jason, Donald, Erin, Amber, Allegra, Ashley, Dylan, Maisie, Kelsey, Stephanie, Dalton and Shane; and seventeen great-grandchildren.

Also surviving is her sister, Rosie Riddle of Lakewood, CA; her brothers: Edward Rumberger of Las Vegas and Ronald Rumberger of Rochester, NH; also surviving is her friend, Mary Pawley of Franklin, whom she shared many fun times; in addition to numerous loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends. Carole’s presence will be forever missed by all those who loved her.

In addition to her beloved husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Boyles; an infant brother and infant sister and a brother, Duane Rumberger.

Friends may call Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk Street, Franklin. A Christian Wake Service will be conducted Tuesday afternoon at 3:30 PM in the funeral home with Deacon Richard Reed of St. Patrick Church, presiding.

The Women of the Moose, Franklin Moose Lodge #83, will conduct memorial services for Carole, Tuesday evening at 6:45 PM in the funeral home.

A Funeral Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated Wednesday at 12 NOON in St. Patrick Church, 949 Liberty Street, Franklin with Monsignor John J. Herbein, pastor, officiating.

Interment will be in St. Patrick Cemetery.
