Larry Westlake BWLarry Leroy Westlake, 70, of Franklin, passed away on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Kahle Lake, doing what he loved, fishing with his son.

Born June 19, 1948, in Franklin, he was the son of the late Edgar Westlake and Hazel Fink.

Larry loved being outdoors. He was an avid hunter and fisherman and enjoyed sharing his love with others. When he wasn’t outside, he could be found at his friend’s local dealership, helping in any way he could.

On October 3, 1992, he was married to the former Mary Louise Exley, who survives. They celebrated 26 years of marriage together.

Surviving in addition to his wife is a son, Jimmy Westlake and wife Crystal of Oil City; two daughters, Tina Braun and husband Mark of Augusta, GA, and Stephany Exley of Meadville; ten grandchildren, Tamra Westlake, Shelbi Westlake, Dakotah Westlake, Ariana “YoYo” Knox, Carli McCalmont, TJ McCalmont, Noah Baker, Zachary Baker, Matthew Wilson, and Isaac Wilson; and three great grandchildren, Delilah, Phoenix, and Charlene.

Also surviving is a brother, Richard Westlake and wife Billye of Belton, TX; three sisters, Leota Perry of Columbia, SC, Nancy Deal and husband Larry of Oil City, and Janet Bartholomew of Union City; and many nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a daughter, Charlene Westlake-McCalmont.

Per Larry’s request, there will be no viewing or visitation.

A memorial service will be held at a later date, at the convenience of the family.
