New Bethlehem Police Seeking Information on Hit and Run Incident

NEW BETHLEHEM BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — Police are seeking information on a hit-and-run incident that occurred in New Bethlehem Borough on Friday morning.

According to Chief Robert Malnofsky, of the New Bethlehem Borough Police, the station received a call reporting a hit-and-run accident that occurred along Penn Street/State Route 861 around 6:54 a.m. on Friday, May 17.

Chief Malnofsky told exploreClarion.com that an unknown vehicle struck a white Kia van parked along Penn Street and pushed the van into a red Dodge Neon parked nearby. The vehicle then fled the scene.

“The victims aren’t sure about specifics of what happened. They just found their vehicles damaged,” noted Malnofsky.

So far, police have no witnesses, no surveillance video of the area of the incident, and no identifiable paint transfer to indicate the color of the suspect vehicle.
