Two Killed After ATV Slams into Deer in Warren County

TRIUMPH TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Two area men were killed after the ATV they were riding struck a deer early Sunday morning in Warren County.

Warren-based State Police said the accident happened around 7:22 a.m. when 54-year-old Frank E. Gariepy, of Tidioute, lost control of his ATV after hitting a deer on Campbell Hill Road.

The ATV exited the road and traveled into a field where it rolled multiple times, according to state police.

Gariepy and his passenger — 52-year-old Scott E. Hart of Slippery Rock — were both pronounced dead at the scene.

The accident remains under investigation.
