State Police Calls: Woman Injured in Deer-Related Crash

FOREST CO., Pa. (EYT) — Area State Police responded to the following calls:

Harassment in Sigel Area

Marienville-based State Police investigated a domestic dispute between a 32-year-old Erie man and a 23-year-old Erie woman that occurred at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Sunday, July 7, at a known location in Sigel, Pa.

According to police, a verbal altercation turned physical when the male pushed the female.

Police say the male will be cited for summary harassment through District Court 54-3-03.

Crash in Harmony Township

According to police, around 10:34 a.m. on Saturday, July 6, 22-year-old Katharine M. Gannon, of Saxonburg, was operating a 2009 Toyota Corolla, traveling south on State Route 36, when a deer jumped into the roadway and struck her vehicle.

Gannon was wearing a seatbelt. She suffered suspected minor injuries but refused medical treatment.

The vehicle sustained disabling damage and was removed from the scene by Franks’ Auto and Son’s.

Tionesta Ambulance and Tionesta Volunteer Fire Department assisted at the scene.
