Tip Leads to DUI Arrest in Farmington Township

FARMINGTON TWP., Pa. (EYT) — Police say a tip on Wednesday afternoon led to the arrest of a Leeper man for driving under the influence.

Around 4:09 p.m. on Wednesday, July 17, a known individual contacted the Marienville-based State Police barracks to report that another known individual was driving while under the influence of alcohol.

Police say the vehicle, a 2007 Chevrolet Uplander, was eventually located near Laurel Lane on State Route 36, in Farmington Township, Clarion County, and it was discovered that the driver, a 50-year-old Leeper man, was intoxicated.

After further investigation, the driver was arrested for suspicion of DUI. He refused a legal blood draw, according to police.

Charges will be filed through District Court 18-3-02.
