State Police Calls: Drug Possession, Criminal Mischief

CLARION CO., Pa. (EYT) — Clarion-based State Police responded to the following calls:

Drug Possession in Beaver Township

According to police, around 5:58 a.m. on Tuesday, July 23, a 2016 tractor-trailer was stopped for a traffic violation on Interstate 80 eastbound in Beaver Township.

Police say the driver, a 28-year-old Philadelphia man, was discovered to be driving under the influence and was in possession of a small amount of marijuana.

Criminal Mischief in Paint Township

Around 1:16 p.m. on Monday, July 15, state police were dispatched to the 28th Division Highway in Paint Township for a report of a woman with a baseball bat.

Upon their arrival, the troopers discovered a 35-year-old Unionville woman threw a glass bottle at a parked car at the scene.

Police say the woman was talking to herself and became very aggressive and combative toward the troopers when they were attempting to communicate with her.

Based on her behavior, she was taken into custody for “302 on the Mental Health Procedures Act.”
