Lois Mae Lindsey (Beers)
She was born February 13, 1939, in Franklin, a beloved daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Hoffman) Beers.
Lois was a 1957 graduate of Franklin High School, who married the love of her life, Lewis J. Lindsey, Jr. on May 26, 1962.
She was employed at The Pennsylvania Department of Public Welfare Office in Franklin as a secretary but resigned from her position to raise her family.
She was a member of The Atlantic Avenue United Brethren Church in Franklin. She loved her church and all of the people in it! She was always wearing a smile and ready to laugh and carry on with others, never lacking a good punchline. She accepted everyone as her own. If she picked on you, you knew you made the cut! You were now a part of her family! When she loved you, she loved you forever.
Lois loved Jesus, her Lord and Savior. She enjoyed spending time with her family, talking to just about everyone she met, chatting on social media, attending church and Bible study, reading Biblical material, and listening to her Christian worship songs.
In addition to her beloved husband of 57 years, she is survived by a son, Lewis J. Lindsey, III and his wife Melissa of Clintonville; two grandchildren that she adored, Cassaundra Lindsey of Clintonville, and Tyler Lindsey and his wife, Lexi and her great-granddaughter-to-be of New Port Richey Florida.
She is further survived by three sisters-in-law, Sally Lindsey of Port Orange, Florida; Betty Cramer; and Rebecca Barnes, both of Franklin, as well as numerous cousins, nieces, nephews, special friends, and by an extra special family friend, Melanie Gupta, that Lois always thought of as a daughter.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Lisa Marie Lindsey Rockwell; three brothers, Walter, Harold, and Eugene Beers and two sisters, Marion Blair and Beatrice Beers.
Friends will be received from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Thursday in the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk Street, Franklin. Additional visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Friday in The Atlantic Avenue United Brethren Church. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday in the church with Pastor Brad Riddle, officiating.
Private interment will follow beside her beloved daughter, Lisa, in Franklin Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions, if desired, may be directed to her family to help defray funeral expenses.
