VENANGO CO., Pa. (EYT) — A Polk man is facing indecent exposure and related charges after he allegedly exposed himself to a family while he was high on meth.

Court documents indicate the Polk Borough Police Department filed criminal charges against 37-year-old Cody Thal Ray, of Polk.

According to a criminal complaint, around 3:29 p.m. on July 27, Sargeant Heller, of the Polk Borough Police Department, was dispatched to an area of Palm Hill Road in Polk, Frenchcreek Township, Venango County, for a report of a male exposing himself to people, including children.

Sargeant Heller arrived at the scene and discovered Cody Thal Ray, who he knew from past incidents, with a rock in his hand. Ray was allegedly pressing on the rock and “talking to space creatures” with it while also making reference to a General and his deceased dog. Ray did not know his own name and was not making sense and had his zipper down and his shirt off, according to the complaint.

Witnesses stated that Ray was walking in front of a residence where they were getting ready for a family reunion when he pulled down his pants in front of them, grabbed his genitals, and yelled “sex sex sex” in full public view, the complaint indicates.

Ray was taken to UPMC Northwest for treatment where he allegedly admitted to the nursing staff, in front of Sargeant Heller, that he had smoked “a bowl of meth” with another known man. He was then given medication and care to help “bring him down,” according to the complaint.

The following charges were filed against Ray through Magisterial District Judge Matthew T. Kirtland’s office on Monday, August 5:

– Public Drunkenness and Similar Misconduct, Summary

A preliminary hearing for the case has not yet been scheduled.
