RIMERSBURG BOROUGH, Pa. (EYT) — Three women who allegedly broke into a garage in Rimersburg are due in court on Tuesday.

Court documents indicate 24-year-old Melinda Sue Adams and 29-year-old Nichole Lynn Davis, both of Rimersburg, and 23-year-old Brandi Nicole Slaugenhaupt, of Knox, are scheduled to stand for hearings in front of Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey C. Miller at 9:00 a.m. on Tuesday, October 1.

They each face the following charges:

– Burglary — Not Adapted for Overnight Accommodation, No Person Present, Felony 2
– Criminal Trespass-Enter Structure, Felony 3
– Theft By Unlawful Taking-Movable Property, Misdemeanor 1

Slaugenhaupt and Adams also face one second-degree misdemeanor count of Criminal Mischief — Tamper with Property.

The charges stem from an incident that occurred in Rimersburg on July 11, 2019.

According to a criminal complaint, around 7:34 p.m. on July 11, Sergeant Clark, of the New Bethlehem Borough Police Department, conducted a follow-up investigation on a possible burglary that occurred at a residence on Chestnut Street in Rimersburg Borough.

According to the complaint, the victims reported that on June 29, around midnight, three females had entered their garage from the open door and stole and vandalized items in the garage. The victims identified the females as Brandi Slaugenhaupt, Nichole Davis, and Melinda Adams.

The complaint notes the victims had the incident on video and also had a witness.

Sergeant Clark viewed and obtained copies of the video footage of the females in the garage and on the property.

According to the complaint, the video also showed a female leaving the residence with a stroller that was at the residence.

The complaint notes that Sergeant Clark interviewed the witness who said the three females tore down a handmade door, then attempted to fix it again.

Interviews with Slaugenhaupt, Davis, and Adams were then conducted.

According to the complaint, Slaugenhaupt and Davis said that the three of them were on a walk with children around midnight when they saw the garage door had been torn down, so they went inside to fix the door.

All three women were arraigned in front of Magisterial District Judge Jeffrey C. Miller at 9:30 a.m. on Monday, July 22.

They all remain free on $5,000.00 unsecured bail each.
