Forest Area Boys’/Girls’ Soccer Get Dramatic Wins Over Redbank Valley Friday; Karns City Wins Saturday

Noah Burke scored twice for the Fires, while Braden Ochs made nine saves.

Koltin Kline scored both of Redbank Valley’s goals with both coming on penalty kicks.

KARNS CITY 11, ST. JOSEPH’S CATHOLIC ACADEMY 2

KARNS CITY, Pa. — On Senior Day, Karns City senior Nate Rondinelli scored seven times to lead the Gremlins to an 11-2 win over St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy Saturday.

Dakota King also scored four times for the Gremlins, while Kaden Scherer had three assists.

FOREST AREA 2, REDBANK VALLEY 1, OVERTIME

TIONESTA, Pa. — Reagan Pack’s goal off a direct kick four minutes into overtime lifted Forest Area to a 2-1 win over Redbank Valley at West Forest Friday.

The Pack goal completed a comeback for the Fires, who tied the game on an Abby Gatesman penalty shot with under 10 minutes remaining in regulation.

Carley Shick scored for Redbank Valley in the first half.

Shawna Pack made 10 saves to get the win for Forest Area, while Gabby Dinger made 10 saves for Redbank Valley.

KARNS CITY 4, ST. JOSEPH’S CATHOLIC ACADEMY 0

KARNS CITY, Pa. — Emma Dailey had two goals and an assist to give Karns City a 4-0 win over visiting St. Joseph’s Catholic Academy.

Breanna Tomsey and McKenna Martin also scored for the Lady Gremlins while Brooke Stahlman, Alexis Moore and Jillian Morrow all had assists.

Rossi McMillen recorded the shutout in goal.
