UPDATE: Multiple Accidents Due to Road Conditions Reported in Oil City

OIL CITY, Pa. (EYT) — Emergency crews and police are on the scene of multiple motor vehicle accidents due to road conditions throughout the City of Oil City.

According to police, the streets in Oil City were “nearly impassable” as of 7:45 a.m. on Friday.

Multiple motor vehicle accidents have been reported throughout City of Oil City, and police and emergency personnel are working to clear the scenes.

Update:

According to police, conditions on the streets in Oil City have improved as of 10:00 a.m. Friday.

Police say Plummer Avenue is still slick, but public works crews are currently working on getting additional salt on the roadway.

Central Avenue, Innis Street, and First Street have all been salted, but police advise caution, as all three roads are still slippery in some places.

The scenes of all of the accidents reported earlier this morning have been cleared, and traffic is moving freely.

No additional details are available at this time.

Police are expected to release information on the accidents within the next 48 hours.
