Constance ScottConstance J. “Connie” Scott, 66, a resident of 133 Red Bridge Lane, Franklin, died peacefully, yet unexpectedly of natural causes at 3:38 PM Monday, December 12, 2016 in her home.

She was born March 5, 1950 in Franklin, a beloved daughter of the late: William E. and Eva Jean Bail Harris.

Connie had worked for more than 32 years as an RSA at Polk Center, retiring from there on March 10, 2010.

She was devoted to her family and friends and cherished her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She looked forward to gambling at the casinos, Tuesday’s at the Movies and watching TV. She was an avid Bingo player and enjoyed travelling, most especially to visit her family and friends in South Carolina.

Connie was a longtime social member of Jesse Greer Post# 1845 V.F.W. club in Franklin. She will be greatly missed and will always be in the thoughts and hearts of her family and friends.

She was married December 30, 1967 to Lawrence P. “Larry” Scott, who survives.

In addition to her husband of 49 years, she is survived by a daughter, Stacy J. Yurkanin of Franklin and her husband Doug of Polk and by a son, Larry C. Scott and his companion Tonya Peterson of Little River, SC. Also surviving are her grandchildren: Mark McBride, Tabitha Brundage and her husband Steve, Ashley Peterson and Zoey Scott and five great-grandchildren: Payton, Landen, Wylee, Jaida and Kilynn.

Connie is also survived by her brother, Phil Harris and family friend, Doug Hazlett and by her longtime best friend, Cris Karns and her daughter, Casey, all of Franklin; in addition to many loving nieces, nephews, extended family members and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William E. Harris, II and by her sister, Jackie Titus.

In keeping with her wishes, there will be no public visitation or funeral service.

Funeral arrangements are under the direction of the Timothy E. Hartle Funeral Home, 1328 Elk Street, Franklin.
