Jamison Rhoades Brookville Rich Media is doing a series of player profiles on returning high-school athletes this summer. The year in school listed by the athlete is the year the athlete is entering this fall.

Son of: Rich and Kim Rhoades

Sports Played: Baseball and basketball
Family Members Playing/Played Sports: Dad ran track and played basketball in high school; His mom played softball in high school.
2018-19 Highlights: Lettered in baseball where he saw time as the backup catcher and pitched a little bit as well.
Post-High School Plans: He wants to go to college at Auburn for Architecture and play baseball and to hopefully go to MLB.

Q&A With Jamison Rhoades

D9Sports: What is your favorite sport to participate in and why?
JR: Baseball because I had a bat in my hand since I was born and I have a natural love for the game.

D9Sports: What is your favorite memory, moment, game from playing high school sports?
JR: My favorite memory from HS sports is when Seth Dunkle hit a homer in at showers to lead off the game against Kane in the district finals.

D9Sports: Why do you play high school sports?
JR: I play HS sports because it is a fun time with friends and I am an active person and enjoy being involved with athletics

D9Sports: Who has had the most influence on your athletic career and why?
JR: My dad has the most influence by he was always giving me a bat to swing or a ball to throw and is always asking if I want to do anything to better myself.

D9Sports: If you could change one thing about high school sports, what would it be and why?
JR: If I could change one thing about HS sports I would make the seasons longer because the seasons seem like they are over before they start.

D9Sports: If you could be president for a day, what would be the one major thing you would do?
JR: If I could be president for a day I would make abortion illegal on all states.

D9Sports: What is your ideal place to live? County, City, Suburb? Why?
JR: I would like to live in the suburb because you aren’t too far away from anything but you aren’t in the city.

D9Sports: What would someone who doesn’t know you be surprised to find out about you?
JR: Something that someone would find surprising about me if they didn’t know me is I should be in a grade lower than I am but I went to kindergarten early.

D9Sports: What is your strongest subject in school?
JR: My strongest subject in school is my engineering classes.

D9Sports: If there was one period in history or one event in history you could go back to, what would it be?
JR: If I could go back to anytime in history I would go to 9/11 because the amount of patriotism that was shown after it happened was really cool and I think it would be cool to experience.

D9Sports: What question do you wish I would have asked you? And what is the answer to it?
JR: I wish you asked my favorite memory from sports in my life. My favorite memory from sports In my life is when I hit two home runs against Dubois my 12-year-old year and one was a grand slam that I hit over the cannon in centerfield.
